comprehension
La compréhension (du latin « comprehensio », de « cum », avec, et « prehendere », prendre: action de saisir ensemble ou de prendre avec soi) est un processus psychologique lié à un objet abstrait ou physique, comme une personne, situation, ou message par lequel un individu est capable de penser et d'en utiliser les concepts. La compréhension est une relation entre le connaisseur et un objet de connaissance. Comprendre implique des capacités et dispositions respectables envers un objet de connaissance suffisant pour adopter un comportement intelligent.
Une compréhension est la limite d'une conceptualisation. Comprendre quelque chose, c'est l'avoir conceptualisé en une mesure donnée.
