coherence
Le mot cohérence caractérise la liaison étroite des différents éléments constitutifs dun ensemble. Toutes les parties de cet ensemble ont un rapport logique, comportant une absence de contradiction entre eux, et sont intimement unis. Ils présentent un rapport harmonieux entre eux, un rapport homogène et sont organisés dans une progression ordonnée. Il est employé dans plusieurs domaines :
en Mathématiques, la Logique mathématique#Quelques résultats fondamentaux est la propriété en logique d'une théorie absente de contradiction ;
en physique, la Cohérence (physique) est l'ensemble des propriétés de corrélation d'un système ondulatoire ;
en Philosophie analytique, le principe de cohérence de Novikov est un principe développé par Igor Novikov au milieu des années 1980 pour résoudre le problème des paradoxes liés au voyage dans le temps ;
