bangui
Bangui, dont la population est estimée à habitants (RGPH 2003), est la capitale de la République centrafricaine. La ville se situe sur la rive droite de l'Ubangi (rivière), près d'une série de rapides qui limite le transport fluvial des produits commerciaux. Le fleuve forme la frontière entre la République centrafricaine et la République démocratique du Congo. La ville congolaise de Zongo se situe directement sur la rive opposée du fleuve.
