Incidentally, I got help from Herbert for measurement setups and had many discussions with him regarding the smart pixel ideas. The desing of the backplanes is the area where I contributed most to. In the technology plane, I developed an original design procedure for stitching. The implementations during the MOSAREL project have shown how well this approach works.
